I’ve been figuring out computer problems all week.  Couldn’t even make my deadlines.  So today I was very happy to take a break at a birthday party at lunch with friends.  The women were all my age and we shared our sins from our past. The place is one of my favorites – I haven’t visited for years – great food, on the river, usually quiet.  

So it wasn’t quiet today.   There were a whole bunch of former generals having lunch and talking at the top of their voices.  One by one they apologized to us for the fact that they are old and hard of hearing, but they were so charming it suited the teentire afternoon.
