Thank you Karen for sharing this talk by Noa Tishbi. I consider myself a feminist but the silence of so many in the feminist movement regarding the rape and murder of Israeli women on 10/7 has been disgraceful.
Celebrities and feminists back in 2014 rightly held up Bring Back Our Girls signs to protest Boko Haram’s kidnapping of young girls. Feminists have been active in the Me Too movement. Why are they silent now when Hamas is holding young Israeli women hostage and sexually abusing them? Why aren’t they demanding that all of the hostages be released? There are no excuses for their silence.
But what I have learned in the past few months is that there are people to follow who have stood up. Noa Tishbi is an example of this passion and commitment, a light in the darkness and that is also true of Tel Aviv Diary, 22 years strong, beautifully written and always worth reading
