I wasn’t there.  I stayed close to home and ran around with errands.  But when Ezi came back I discovered how much I missed.  It’s exactly the kind of archeological hike that brings the bible back to life.  I Samuel chapter 4 describes a lost war with the Philistines here and the loss of the ark.  and the whole thing could be seen in that site.
