I was sitting in the balcony of Tony Vespas

waiting for my pizza thinking

this may be the best place in the world

at this moment

even though we’re getting bombed all the time

even though I was going to be late for the concert 

No I’ve got to get there on time

so we cross Habima square

at a run throwing away

the last bites of the pizza

and I forget for a minute

how to upload my tickets.

But we just made it,

reading the program

and eschenbach is sick

and Buchbinder cancelled too

for ‘personal reasons’

but the last minute substitutes

wind up being amazing and who can

be disappointed in Ludwig Van

the guy whose Fifth

got England through the Blitz

but I really need more pizza.
