June 12, 2012 Why are we trying so hard to be gay friendly? Even the army is shvitzing over this
photo of 2 soldiers holding hands. If homosexuality was really considered normal around here, we wouldn't be talking so much about it, I think. Still, it is nice to think we're 'open.'
June 13, 2012 Our political arguments might have ruined a great dinner at When I came back to Tel Aviv in 1987 after three years in NY, I couldn't imagine stepping out of the house after dark - except when i had my big dog, Mocha. It took me a while to realize that I could wander around the most strangest parts of Tel Aviv, in the middle of the night, without fear.
