Elections in 8 days. The kids are working on a puzzle and the adults are talking about the candidates. Someone mentions Bennett. An 8 year old pipes up - "he's our minister of education, isn't he?" how do they know this stuff. because their lives depend on knowing politics.

We had a great reading of ARC 26 tonight and i'm sure we're going to really move on this IAWE after so many years. I mean IAWE The Israel Association of Writer in English could very well be a bridge between Israel and the English speaking worlds. It can help local English writers, new immigrants, etc. Once we get off the ground, and its beginning. .

Tonight was thebar mitzvah party for our grand nephew - a very grand affair with lots of food, music, and even the bar mitzvah's band playing. It was a time to see the enormous number of relatives and friends connected to Ezi's family

As tensions rise about the election, we do everything we can to avoid discussions after we ask everyone we know who they are voting for. Anyway most people say Ganz but have many doubts about his ability to put together a coalition. Today, however, i met one wonderful old friend who was way left when i knew her twenty years ago but is now voting for Bibi. So you never know what will happen.

For me I cannot vote for Bibi because of the nation-state law, because Arabic has been removed as a national language, because of the state of the hospitals, because of the state of public transportation, etc. etc. etc.
