I asked a grandson today what he wanted to be when he grew up – he said he’ll be a musician. Why? I asked. So I won’t have to go into combat, he answered. I’ll just be the entertainment for the troops. And then, after a long silence, Why does my father still have to go back to the army all the time?
We hung a flag from the balcony, then realized it was the flawed one that had been distributed through the bank last year. This Memorial Day was a person of the very best Memorial Days that I have had in awhile. For the very first time in a few of several years we went to a cookout as a substitute of hosting it. So a lot much more relaxing and a great deal much less stress. I could loosen up, view the parade and play with my little ones. I just needed to say thanks for the all the difficult function and sacrifices that our soldiers gave to defend the freedoms of this nation.
